Keenly aware today that it’s been 5 months now since I’ve seen my partner. It’s also been 2 and a half years since I left the US. We accepted uncertainty and discomfort to a certain extent when embarking on this long distance phase of our lives, but I can’t say I had reckoned on a global pandemic getting in the way. Not to sound ungrateful, I also simultaneously recognise the great privilege I have in being able to work safely remotely and to be in good health, so it’s not all bad. I also have an amazing team and project to keep me focused.
