A native of Toronto, Canada, he was raised by his parents there. He grew up in a Jewish family but was never very religious. He graduated with an honors degree in Philosophy from The University of New Brunswick.
Earlier, Berg was a professional bodybuilder and later he switched to stripping. Later, he transitioned his career as a stand-up comedian, performing at the famous Canadian comedy institution, Yuk Yuk’s.
