Katie Grimes is an American competitive swimmer and Olympian. She is a part of the US team to compete in the swimming at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Likewise, she is now the first Team USA woman to represent in the pool and open water swimming at a single Olympic Games. At the 2024 Olympic Trials in June 2024, she ended up dropping the 800m from her stacked program and finished last in the 200-meter freestyle final.
Grimes was just 15 years old when she made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Summer Olympics. There, she was the youngest member of the US Olympic Team. She competed in the 800-meter freestyle and finished fourth.

Furthermore, she competed in the 800-meter freestyle at the 2021 World Short Course Championships held at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
In April 2022, she won the 10-kilometer marathon swim at the 2022 US Open Water National Championships. There, she also won the national junior title in the 7.5-kilometer open water swim.
At the 2022 FINA Swimming World Cup, she swam the short course 1500m freestyle where she earned the World Junior Record. She won silver medals in the 1500-meter freestyle and the 400-meter individual medley.

Both her parents are graduates of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her father Christian studied business management and accounting there. Additionally, he is a 1985 graduate of Western High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The athlete’s parents have been Nevada State Bank clients for more than 20 years. She says that her financial smartness comes from there.

The youngest of seven in an athletic family, she has five brothers and one sister named Kenzie Grimes. Her two elder brothers Carter and Sawyer Grimes played competitive swimming and she was inspired from there.

Born Kathryn Eileen Grimes on 8 January 2006, she is 18 years old now. She spent her early life with her family in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Katie with a height of 5 feet 10 inches (177.8 cm) began swimming at the club Sandpipers of Nevada. She is homeschooled and recently completed her high school this year. She has a plan to swim collegiately.
Nevertheless, she has yet to announce her college choice. Well, it looks like she will be making her college decision just after the Olympics in Paris.
