Katie Shanahan is a Scottish competitive swimmer who is representing Team Great Britain at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Shanahan finished second in both the 200-meter backstroke and the 400-meter medley at the 2024 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships. Eventually, she met the British Consideration criteria for a place at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
In 2021, she competed in the women’s 400-metre individual medley event at the FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m) in Abu Dhabi, which was her first biggest tournament. She also took six medals, three gold and three silver, at the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2019.
Likewise, she won the bronze medal in the 400-metre individual medley with a time of 4:39.37 at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. There, she also won the bronze medal in the 200-metre backstroke with a personal best time of 2:09.22.
